It is always interesting to look back over the year to see what was popular with our readers.
The list often surprises me when I look over it at the end of the year. What I think will be popular sometimes isn’t. Other times I post something just to share my thoughts and you love it.
It really is fascinating to look at what readers have loved and what brings them to the site.
The list this year includes a wide range of bookish topics. The one thing that many of the posts have in common is strong opinions. Readers love it when we keep it real and share our honest thoughts.

I wrote this post because I felt like I was the only one that didn’t love Book of the Month. It turns out that there are a lot of people out there that felt the same way that I did.
Eight Cozy Mysteries. This was such a fun surprise to see on the list.
I love cozy mysteries and I love that so many readers do as well. Several of my favorite cozy mystery series are ones that were recommended to me by readers.
Books That Read Like Hallmark Movies. This is an example of a post that really surprised me.
I put this list together because I occasionally like books that don’t take a lot of thought. The type of reading that you can escape into.
They are like a palate cleanser for me. They give me a break before I pick up something that is sad or takes a lot more thought to process through.
I love that I am not the only one that feels this way. Many readers love books like this too.
The Real Story Behind We Were Yours. I put this post together after I read both, We Were Yours and Before and After. The book Before and After shares the story behind We Were Yours.
I love to learn the real story behind the historical fiction books that I read and it is fun to discover that readers too. I think I need to put together more of these fact vs fiction posts.
Understanding Alice’s Wonderland. I am so glad that I am not the only one that needs help understanding classic literature like Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll.
Grace shared her thoughts after doing some research for a college class and so many people have found it helpful. This is an older post, but it continues to be popular with Google searches.
Books For Guys. I shared this list of what my husband was reading years ago and I am continually surprised by how much readers love it.
Although I probably shouldn’t be surprised because we actually have quite a few male readers, especially on Instagram. Our Instagram followers love nonfiction.
I have updated my books for guys list over the years to add my husband’s current reads. I need to update it again with his 2022 reads.
Books That Read Like Hallmark Christmas Movies. I knew readers loved Christmas books so this was such a fun list to put together. I need to update it with the Christmas books that I read this year.

The Engineer’s Wife. This is another example of you loving our honest thoughts on books.
I did not like the book Engineer’s Wife and I did not shy away from sharing why. I even did a video for this book review. I guess I am not the only one that felt this way about this book.
At Home In Mitford Book vs Movie. I wrote this post after watching the At Home In Mitford movie. I had so many opinions that I just had to write them down and share them with someone, so I put together a post.

What To Read After Mitford. I love the Mitford books by Jan Karon, as you can tell from my book vs movie post. I don’t just love the Mitford books, I love cozy comfort reading type books, so it was so fun to discover how much readers love those books as well.
