Book Review of
The Mystery of the Blue Train
Lynn's Review
The Mystery of the Blue Train by Agatha Christie was published in 1928.
I was looking for a new audiobook and couldn’t find one that I liked. I started several and didn’t finish them because I didn’t love the narrator.
I am picky when it comes to audiobooks. If the narrator or book is not catching my attention I am much more likely to give the book up than I am a book in print or ebook form.
I have heard several people mention that they love to listen to Agatha Christie on audio so I decided to give it a try. I got Mystery of the Blue Train on audio and loved it!
I think I have found a way that I can accomplish my goal of reading all the Hercule Poirot books. The audio versions are usually five to seven hours long. In my opinion, that is a great length for an audiobook.
The books are not all narrated by the same person, but I really enjoyed the narration on this one.
When there is a murder on the luxury passenger train, The Blue Train, Hercule Poirot is on the case.
I have read quite a few reviews of this Agatha Christie book and a lot of people don’t like this one. It wasn’t my favorite Agatha Christie book, but I enjoyed it.
About halfway through the book I did have a pretty good guess of who committed the murder, but I still enjoyed this one.
I can’t wait to listen to more Agatha Christie audiobooks.
