Book Review of
Aging With Grace
Lynn's Review
Aging With Grace by Sharon W. Betters and Susan Hunt is a Christian nonfiction book published in 2021.
I recently talked to a friend about aging and the fact that I want to age well. I don’t mean my physical looks, although it would be nice to age well physically. I mean to age well internally and spiritually. I want to age gracefully with a God-honoring attitude.
I don’t want to become a grumpy older person who constantly complains. I want to be gentle, kind, and God-honoring. So when I saw this book on the table at a Christian conference I attended, I knew I needed to read it.
I am so glad that I did.
Aging With Grace is not deep theology. It is a book full of scriptural reminders about aging and God-honoring attitudes. It reminds us that inner beauty is far more important than outer beauty.
Sharon and Susan share from their heart about the struggles they have had. At the end of each chapter is a story from older, wiser women sharing their stories of sickness, widowhood, childlessness, and more.
Since finishing this book, I have told several women my age that we need to do it as a book club book.
If you are struggling with aging, I think you will find some helpful reminders in this book.
