Bible Handbooks

Bible resource books are important for learning more about the Bible, and these Bible Handbooks are a valuable addition to your Christian book collection.

Old and New Testament Bible Handbooks on couch with Christmas cactus in the background

A few months ago, when I was working on my lesson for my Bible Study, I scanned my bookshelves for a book that would give me the history of the book and the Biblical time period we were studying.

We own a lot of Bibles, study Bibles, and commentaries, but I realized that we did not own a book that was about Bible history. So I started searching for a resource to buy.

I was not looking for deep theology, I was looking for a book that would provide some information about each book of the Bible and the time period that it was written.

When I came across the Old and New Testament Handbooks, I knew I had found what I wanted.

In fact, after I got the books and started looking through them, I decided to get each of my kids a set for Christmas.

Books have always been part of Christmas at our house, but since my kids were teens, we have also given them a Christian book.

It is usually a study Bible, a devotional, or a classic Christian book. We thought doing this would help them build their Christian library.

This year, I was unsure what to give them for their Christian book until I saw The Bible Handbooks.

These are not necessarily books you would sit down and read; they are more of a resource to use when you want to know more about a specific book of the Bible or a Biblical time period.

They are also not the Bible; they are books of facts about the Bible.

If you enjoy studying the Bible, these Bible Handbooks would be a great addition to your library. They would also make a great gift for a family member or friend who enjoys Biblical history and studying the Bible.

The Old Testament Handbook is a handbook of the Bible and historical Biblical facts.

For each book of the Old Testament, there is a list of facts about the author of the book, the background, the purpose, the summary, and the structure of the book.

There is an outline and a word study for each book of the Old Testament.

There is also a timeline and other information, like the Israelites’ complaints in the wilderness.

It is an excellent resource for studying specific books of the Bible.

Church History Handbook

The other book in the series that I bought was The Church History Handbook. This is not a Bible book, but a book about the history of the church.

Church History Handbook cover

This is a book of Church history and Church history facts.

Church History Handbook Contents

It has sections for different periods of Church history. Within each section are facts on things like Church government, short biographies of prominent people during that time period, maps, and more.

If you are looking for an addition to your Christian book library or for someone you know who loves Biblical facts and history, these books would be a good option.

Have you seen these Bible Handbooks? If you have, I would love to hear what you thought of them.
