A Quilt for Christmas book

A Christmas Quilt by Sandra Dallas was published in 2015. It is Christmas historical fiction.

A Christmas Quilt is a historical fiction book set during the Civil War in Kansas. It is about Eliza, whose husband has gone to fight in the war. Eliza makes her husband a quilt for Christmas and hopes it makes it to him. It does make it to him, and when the war is over, the quilt makes its way back to Eliza.

This book is about war but also about family, found family, the power of women’s friendship, and more.

This is not a light and fun Christmas read. It deals with complex topics, but I liked that it differed from most Christmas fiction.

The book is also not just a Christmas book. Although it starts and ends with Christmas, it could easily be read any time of year because it covers a year.
