Nothing is Wasted by Davey Blackburn is a Christian memoir published in 2024.

Davey Blackburn’s pregnant wife was killed during a burglary at their home while he was at the gym. Nothing is Wasted is Davey’s story of overcoming this unimaginable event and how God has used it for His glory. 

Nothing Wasted is a story of hope, forgiveness, and finding your purpose in pain. It is a raw and honest look at what Davey went through. 

He describes in detail the type of person Amamda was, what their life was like, and the unbelievable pain he went through losing her in the way he did. 

This memoir is one of the most heartbreaking memoirs that I have read, and yet it is so good because it shares the pain in a God-honoring way.

I started this book a few months ago, but I had to put it down because, at the time, I could not handle the descriptive details of the crime and the events afterward. I knew I wanted to finish it, so I picked it back up recently and could not put it down. 

If you are a Christian going through a hard time, I think you fill find hope in Davey’s story. 

This book is going on my list of favorite Christian memoirs.
