Now and Not Yet by Ruth Chou Simons is a Christian book published in 2024.

Now and Not Yet is about waiting when you want more. 

It is about practicing patience when life doesn’t go as you planned. It is about training during the good times for the difficult times that will come. It is about chaos and the struggles of life making us stronger. It is about the slow process of God using His timing for our good. 

This is the third book by Ruth Chou Simons. I like her writing style. It has depth to it, but it isn’t too deep. It gives you theology in a lighter and easier-to-read way. Instead of being profound theology, it gracefully guides you in your walk with Christ. 

Now and Not Yet was the reminder I needed as I started the new year. Life isn’t easy. 2024 had some struggles for me. I am sure 2025 will have more. We all deal with trials and difficult circumstances. We all want easy. We all want life to go as expected, but it rarely happens that way. 

This book reminded me that God uses all the unexpected hard things to work in us and bring us closer to Him.
