Taste My Life Through Food
Stanley Tucci grew up in an Italian American family that spent every night around the kitchen table. He shared the magic of those meals with us in The Tucci Cookbook and The Tucci Table, and now he takes us beyond the savory recipes and into the compelling stories behind them.
Taste is a reflection on the intersection of food and life, filled with anecdotes about his growing up in Westchester, New York; preparing for and shooting the foodie films Big Night and Julie & Julia; falling in love over dinner; and teaming up with his wife to create meals for a multitude of children. Each morsel of this gastronomic journey through good times and bad, five-star meals and burned dishes, is as heartfelt and delicious as the last.

Lynn's Review
I love memoirs and I love talking about food. I also enjoy listening to celebrity memoirs on audio. Taste by Stanley Tucci combines all those things, so when I read some great reviews I knew I wanted to listen to it.
I really enjoyed it. It is about food, but also about growing up in New York in an Italian family. It is about acting and Hollywood and it is about life in general. He talks about kids, marriage, cancer, and more and he brings it all together through food.
I think the print version of this book would be great for the recipes that he shares, but I am not sure I would have enjoyed reading this one. Stanley Tucci reading this is what I think made this so great.
I will say that there are some PG-13 scenes that I could have done without and there is some swearing, especially the “F” word.
