I watched the Hallmark Movie The Christmas Cottage last year, and I had no idea that it was based on a book called The Christmas Cottage by Samantha Chase. I enjoyed the movie so when I realized that there was a book I knew I wanted to read it. Overall I liked the book. In fact, I liked it better than the movie. I thought the book was more realistic. And the movie didn’t really stick to the book. It was actually quite different from the book. This is another book that reads just like a Hallmark Movie. If you love Hallmark Christmas Movies, I think you will enjoy this one. I will say that the Hallmark movie was clean, like all Hallmark movies are, but the book wasn’t. The book was PG13. It had some scenes that I thought could have easily been left out. A good book should stand on it’s own. It shouldn’t need sex to sell it. But besides that I liked the book.
