Grace's Review
I read John Owens The Glory of Christ because I have seen many things about John Owen and have heard a lot of people talk about his writings. I didn’t know where to start when it came to his books, so I started with The Glory of Christ. Owen is a little hard to read. It probably had to do with the edition of the book that I read and with him being an older writer. I did learn a lot. He had some great thoughts that he backed up well once you got to the point.
I doubt that this was the best one for me to start with. I can see why people recommend him and take quotes from him as he has a lot of good ones. But if you read John Owen be prepared for some deep reading that takes time.
I will say thought that now that I have read one of his books, I want to read more just to see what else he has to say.
