Lynn's Review
Lost Gutenberg by Margaret Leslie Davis was not at all what I thought it was going to be about, but I really enjoyed it. I didn’t do a lot of research before I started reading this one. I thought it was about a Bible, but it is more about rare book collecting, which ended up being fascinating.
The Lost Gutenberg follows a specific edition of the Gutenberg Bible over the course of 500 years. As you follow this specific Bible you learn about book buying and collecting in England and in America.
If you love nonfiction books about books or books about book collecting you will probably enjoy this one.
