The Lumby Lines by Gail Fraser has been in my to be read pile for awhile. It is one of the books listed on my What To Read After Mitford post. It is a fiction book that was first published in 2007.
A reader commented on that post about how much she loved The Lumby series. I instantly moved it up to the top of the stack and I am so glad that I did.
I loved this book and can’t wait to read the others in the series. It was exactly the cozy comfort read that I needed.
It is set in a small town in the Pacific Northwest. I think I might actually love it more than Mitford and I didn’t think that was possible. I think this would also be great for readers who love Wendell Berry’s Hannah Coulter and Jayber Crow books.
