Book Review of
The Most Wonderful Crime of the Year
Lynn's Review
The Most Wonderful Crime of the Year by Ally Carter was published in 2024. It is a Christmas mystery.
The Most Wonderful Crime of the Year has been all over the social media and podcasts. I have heard so many say it is a great holiday read, so I decided to try it.
I like this book, but I didn’t love it. I would describe it as part mystery and part rom-com. I think one of the reasons that I didn’t love the book is that I wasn’t expecting the rom-com part. But that is my fault for not knowing more about the book before I read it.
Two American mystery writers are sent to an estate in England for Christmas. They are given very few details, except that they are needed there.
After arriving a snow storm hits and the own of the estate, who is a world famous mystery author, disappears.
Now they must figure out if this is a game, or a real kidnapping/murder.
