Book Review of
The Rom-Commers
Lynn's Review
The Rom-Commers by Katherine Center is a contemporary romance book published in 2024.
I read my first Katherine Center book last month, and The Rom-Commers is now the third Katherine Center book that I have read in the previous few weeks. I found an author that I love.
I wouldn’t want to read Katherine Center books all the time, but they have made great summer, vacation-type reads for me. They are lighter romance books without the cheesy storyline that is often in cleaner romances.
The Rom-Commers is her latest release. It just came out summer of 2024.
Emma longs to be a screenwriter, but she is the sole caretaker of her father, who needs full-time care.e
Charlie, a famous screenwriter, needs help writing a rom-com movie.
Emma’s friend convinces her to move to L.A. for six weeks to take on the job.
This is described as a romance book, but it felt more like a rom-com to me. It is about writing rom-com, so it felt like you were reading a rom-com in book form.
This book was just the right book at the right time for me. I enjoyed it and look forward to reading more of her backlist books.
As I mentioned in my other Katherine Center book reviews, I decided to try Katherine Center because I keep seeing people say that her books are clean romances. I might be old-fashioned, but I disagree with that. They are fairly clean, but I would not consider them clean fiction. Her books have a few spots that were more detailed than I expected from a book many label clean romances.
