Book Review of
These Tangles Threads
Lynn's Review
These Tangled Threads by Sarah Loudin Thomas is a historical fiction book published in 2024.
These Tangled Threads is set in 1924. It is about three friends whose lives revolve around the Biltmore Estate and Village.
Lorna and Gentry are weavers, and Arthur, who have very different stories, yet share many similarities.
I loved the history of Biltmore and the people who lived and worked there in 1924.
I recently read Heart of the Glen, a book set in Ireland during the early 1900s, which made it fascinating to compare it with a book set in America during the same period.
These Tangled Threads is about far more than weaving, though. It is about family and friendship. It is also about lies, betrayal, forgiveness, and healing.
This book is listed as a Christian historical fiction book, but the Christian theme is not particularly prominent in this work. There is definitely a theme of hope and redemption, but it did not have a lot of religion in the book, so anyone who likes historical fiction can enjoy this one.
