My January 2022 reads include a mix of fiction and nonfiction, along with some newer releases and backlist books.
January ended up being a good reading month for me. I read eight books. Seven print books and one audiobook.
Quite a few of them are 2021 releases because I had several books saved up to read as soon as my 2021 backlist books challenge was over.
I wrote a quick sentence or two on each book, but you can click the title for more information and my full review. I have some strong and unpopular opinions on one of the books I read in January, so if you love strong opinions be sure to read my full review on the last book on the list.
January 2022 Reads
The Winter Guest by Pam Jenoff
I think this is the first book by Pam Jenoff that I have read and it won’t be my last.
The Forest of Vanishing Stars by Kristin Harmel
I knew that The Forest of Vanishing Stars would be the first book that I read after my backlist books challenge was over. I love Kristin Harmel’s writing and couldn’t wait to read this one. You can read my full review here.
The Boys by Ron and Clint Howard
My husband bought me this for my birthday in December because he knew I enjoyed memoir-style books.
Finding My Father by Blair Linne
This is one of the best modern Christian memoirs that I have read in a while. I featured it for January’s Sunday Reading Post.
The Kitchen Front by Jennifer Ryan
This book was such a creative way to write about WWII. It also made me appreciate all that we have today. Current supply problems are nothing compared to what they dealt with during WWII.
Miss Buncle Married by D.E. Stevenson
This is book two in the Miss Buncle series. I love these books!
The Last Garden in England by Julia Kelly
This book shared a WWII story in such a creative way.
No Pain No Gaines by Chip Gaines
I have some strong and unpopular opinions on this one. I wanted to love it… Be sure to click the title read my full review on this one.
