The Feather Thief book

The Feather Thief by Kirk Wallace Johnson combines feathers, London’s Royal Academy of Music, a twenty-year-old American flautist Edwin Rist, fly fishing, a bizarre crime and so much more!

This has been on my to be read pile for a while. It took getting it as part of my Page One book subscription to get me to finally read it.

I had no idea that feathers could be so interesting. I also had no idea that feathers could be so valuable This book is part true crime, part odd history, and part science and wildlife.

If you love true crime, but want something that is a little lighter and easier to read pick up The Feather Thief to read. It took me a chapter or two to get into it, but once I did I could not put it down.

I told Grace and my husband that they both need to read this one. It really is fascinating in a strange way. I am pretty sure you will learn something that you didn’t know about birds and feathers in this one.
