The Last Night In London by Karen White book review

The Last Night in London by Karen White is a WWII historical fiction book published in 2021.

The Last Night In London alternates between 2019 and 2039. It is historical fiction with mystery and romance mixed in. I do not always love dual times, but this was well done.

The 2019 timeline is about an American journalist who lost her mother at a young age and travels to London to interview a model during the time leading up to WWII and during the early years of the war.

The 2039 timeline is about two models, Precious Dubose, and Evea Harlow, trying to make their way as models in a changing world.

I loved this book. I think it is the second or third book by Karen White that I have read, and I put her on my list of authors to read in 2024.

The writing in this was so well done. It wasn’t a fairly clean book, but wasn’t cheesy or predictable. The ending took me by surprise.

If you like WWII historical fiction, especially those set in London, I think you will enjoy this one.
