The Ride of Her Life by Elizabeth Letts has been in my to be read stack since it came out in 2021. It has been recommended to me by several readers, so I knew that I had to move it to the top of my list.
I recently needed a lighter nonfiction read and this book was perfect for that. I loved The Ride of Her Life and read it in just a couple of days.
In 1954, Anne Wilkins, was given only a few years to live. She left her Maine farm with her horse and dog, and set off to ride across America. Yes, her goal was to ride from Maine to California on a horse. And she succeeded. The Ride of Her Life is her story.
If you like feel good nonfiction, animal stories, or need a lighter nonfiction read, I think this might be just the book you need.
