Lynn's Review

The Thursday Murder Club book

I have seen great reviews for The Thursday Murder Club and was curious about it since I enjoy cozy mystery-type books. I am not sure this is a cozy mystery, but it reads a lot like one.

This is actually one of the few ebooks that I have paid full price for because I wanted to read it and when I decided to read it, I wanted to read it right then. I bought the ebook so I could have it instantly. That is how much I wanted to read it.

This book was so much fun. It is about four friends who live in a retirement village. They meet once a week to solve mysteries, but the mysteries they solve are old cases, they have never worked on a new, real, case. But after a body was found they get their chance to solve a real murder. They are determined to help solve the case.

The setting and the characters in The Thursday Murder Club are so well done.

Most fiction books feature younger people or at least people under forty. It a nice to have a well-written book that had a group of retired people. This is a great book for mystery lovers and older people who love to read books with older characters.
