It is the last day of 2018, and I thought I would share my favorite books of the year. This year I read over 100 books, which surprised me.
In 2017, I set a goal of reading 100 books, and although I loved having that goal for 2017, I didn’t set it for 2018. For 2018, I wanted to focus on what I was reading, not the amount I read.
I found that in 2017 I put off longer harder to read books because I was focused on reading a certain amount of books. I wanted to enjoy what I was reading and not have to worry about how big the book was or how long it might take me to read it.
I have kept track of what I read, but I haven’t regularly added it up like I did in 2017. So, when I counted how many books I read this year, I was quite surprised that I actually read more than I did in 2017.
When I went through my list of books read this year, ten books really stood out to me as favorites. A few fiction books made the list, but the majority of the books that made my favorites list are nonfiction. One of the books was a book that I just finished last week.
I would love to hear what your favorite books of 2018 were? And if you have read any of my favorites for the year I would love to hear your thoughts on them.
