It is time for another Sunday Reading! Finding God’s Life for My Will seemed like a good fit for 2020.
My daughter received Finding God’s Life for My Will as a gift. After she read it and kept talking about it, I knew that I needed to read it too.
I read it a few weeks ago, and it was a perfect book for 2020. Mike Donehey of the music group Tenth Avenue North shares his journey of learning that we can plan our life, but God often has a totally different plan.
Doesn’t that pretty much sum up 2020? How many plans have we all had that got totally changed?
Pretty much nothing has gone as planned this year. But the reality is that God has a plan we can’t see. He sees the bigger picture. He sees how events shape us into the person He wants us to be. Not the person we think we should be.
This book was a good reminder that we can plan our life, but God often changes our plans. This would be a great book for a young adult, college student, or a new Christian.
I think this book would also be a good book for someone struggling with right now. But aren’t we all to some extent? I think this book would provide some encouragement that God does indeed have a greater plan that we can’t see.
If you are looking for a how to book, this isn’t it. What this book does do is help you look at life through what God has planned and not what you have planned for yourself or what others have planned for you.
This is a book about living for God, not others.
This not a hard read, so it can be a fairly quick read if you are in need of something encouraging to read.
If you need a book to read for Sunday Reading, give Finding God’s Life For My Will a try.
Sounds like a book many of us could use right now. Thanks for sharing!
