Latest Book Reviews Fall

We have eighteen new book reviews up! The last few months have been a little unusual for us when it comes to reading. I am pretty sure that we are not the only ones…2020 has definitely not been normal for any of us.

Grace took a college class over the summer, so she did not read as much as she usually does over the summer months. The fall semester has continued to be busy for her.

I have had some good reading months, but I have read far more fiction than I normally read. I read more nonfiction in August, but the previous few months and last month were heavy on the fiction for me.

But that is the great thing about reading. There is no right or wrong way to read. If we try to fit our reading in a box, we usually hit a reading slump.

Picking up the right books for the right time is one of the tips for reading more books. If you are in a reading slump, pick up something totally different than the last book that you read. Finding the right book is probably all you need.

Now for our list of recent reviews.

  1. What a nice variety of books! I appreciate the reminder that there is no one right way to read and sometimes just picking up the right book at the right time is all it takes.

Having said that, I do agree with Grace about cheezy romance books. Romance is not a genre that I typically like to read, but I too have picked it up from time to time when I’m in the mood for something light or after reading a recommendation for a book. I find it harder and harder to enjoy them. I think after reading some really well written books, it is often harder to read less well written books.

I am an overthinker too. I have not read Anne Bogel’s book yet, but probably will.
