The History Chicks L. M. Montgomery Podcast

The History Chicks L. M. Montgomery Podcast

Over the last few years, I have developed a love of podcasts. I enjoy listening to them in the car, when I take a walk, or when I work around the house. I love that I can learn something new while doing an everyday task.

I recently discovered the podcast The History Chicks. I wish I could remember who it was that recommended it, but I know it was something that I saw on social media. I instantly knew that I would enjoy because I love history and learning about new people, places, and events.

I have only listened to a few of The History Chicks podcasts, but so far I have enjoyed them all. I already have quite a few more downloaded to itunes to listen to soon.

I recently finished listening to The History Chicks L. M. Montgomery episode and loved it. If you love Anne of Green Gables, or any of L.M. Montgomery’s books, I highly recommend it.

I did not really know anything about L.M. Montgomery before listening to this podcast. It was fascinating to learn about her life. I do not think I will ever look at Anne of Green Gables the same way.

One of the things I was reminded of listening to this podcast, and a few other ones from The History Chicks, is that many successful people have difficult lives. Part of what makes them successful is what they have lived through and learned from those experiences.

We often want to avoid difficult times and circumstances, but the reality is that they make us stronger and teach us lessons we would not have learned otherwise. I think L.M Montgomery is an example of that. Anne was the Anne we love because of what L.M. Montgomery lived through as a child.

If you loved Anne of Green Gables and enjoy podcasts, I highly recommend this one. I will say though that I disagree with The History Chicks on the new Anne series. I did not like the new “Anne with an E” Netflix series. I thought it was dark and awful and nothing like the books. So the podcast is great, but I will not be listening to their podcast on the Netflix series.

Do you love podcasts? What is your favorite book or history one to listen to?
