Book Review of
An Unconventional Lady
Lynn's Review
An Unconventional Lady by Sarah E. Ladd was published in 2026. It is a clean romance book.
Elle Wilde is the daughter of a headmaster and grew up on the family estate, Keatley Hall, which is also the school’s location.
Elle’s family has always had an interest in phrenology, the belief that a person’s traits and personality are determined by the shape of their head.
When a famous phrenologist visits Keatley Hall for a society gathering, Elle is determined to clear her family’s name.
This book is a romance book, but it also has elements of mystery to it.
I liked that this book was about phrenology because I knew nothing about it, and its popularity during the 1800s. The romance and storyline were predictable, but the book was interesting because of its phrenology
4 Star read mainly because I learned about phrenology.
