It is time to share my October 2026 reading.
My October Reading could be described as a month of comfort reading.
I read five books, and they were all fiction. I did not finish any nonfiction books in October and that is very unusual for me.
Thanks to a sinus infection that won’t clear up, a flare of my health issues, and just overall life stuff, I didn’t have the brain space or attention span for nonfiction last month.
The reading life has many ups and downs. Not all months will be great, and I am fine with that.
Of the five books that I read, two were rereads, and they were on audio.
October was definitely a month of comfort reads.

Here are the books that I read in October. Click the title of each book for more details and a full review.
Fiction

The Undercover Bookshop by Katherine Reay is Katherine Reay’s latest release. It is a post-WWII historical fiction book. I love how she mixed history, spies, and a mystery.

Seeking Persephone by Sarah M. Eden is the first book in the Regency romance series The Lancaster Family.
Have you seen the show Seeking Persephone? It is a Beauty and the Beast retelling that is based on this book. It was a fun read.

Courting Miss Lancaster by Sarah M. Eden is book two in the Lancaster Family series. As soon as I finished Seeking Persephone, I knew that I would read book two in the series. It was another fun read.
Audiobooks

The Fleet Feet Murders by Charles Finch. This is book three in one of my favorite historical mystery series. The series is set in Victorian England. This was a reread. I read it in print the first time, so the audio version made for a great reread. I am slowly listening to the whole series on audio.

Emma M. Lion by Beth Brower was another reread for me. I loved this series and have read them all in print. I have heard so many great things about the audiobooks that I decided it would be a great way to reread them.
I would love to hear what you have been reading.
