Book Review of
Hello Stranger
Lynn's Review
Hello Stranger by Katherine Center is a romantic comedy book that was published in 2023.
Sadie is a struggling artist who develops a rare but real condition called face blindness. Faces don’t look like faces to her. They are more like puzzle pieces.
She has a dog, whose veterinarian she dreams about, and a neighbor whom she is not sure about. Both seem to be vying for her attention.
This book is exactly what I love about Katherine Center’s writing. Her books are more than just romance or rom-coms. They teach you something. They make you think. They are so much deeper than your average romance book.
I knew nothing about face blindness when I started this book, so I will admit that the first part of the book was a bit strange, but in the end, I loved this book.
It is quirky and fun, with some serious real-life stuff mixed in.
I was taken by this book also! Learning so much about face blindness and how different life is for the people who live with it. Katherine Center’s book are a pleasure because like you said they teach you things and have some depth. Much enjoyed!
I agree! I knew nothing about face blindness until I read Hello Stranger.
