Hope When It Hurts book review

Hope When It Hurts by Kristen Wetherell and Sarah Walton was published 2019. I listened to this on audio.

I listened to this on audio instead of reading it, and although I enjoyed it, I did not love the narrators. If you are going to read it, I would recommend reading it.

In this book, the authors share their story, and their family’s story, of chronic illness and pain. The chapters alternate between authors.

Overall I enjoyed this book and the reminder that God has a purpose in our suffering. If you have not read a lot of Christian books on pain and suffering you will probably find this book helpful.

I found it a good reminder but thought a lot of what was said had already been said by other people. There are a ton of quotes from other Christian authors and speakers in this book. Then the authors then gave their thoughts on the quotes. I have read the majority of books that they quoted from so I found the information to be a bit repetitive. Although, I did enjoy hearing their story and what they have been through.
