Book Summary:

Made To Tremble by Blair Linne is a Christian nonfiction book published in 2025.

Starting in 2015, Blair Linne experienced crippling anxiety and panic attacks that spiraled her down and landed her in the emergency room.

Like many Christians, Blair knew she “should” cast her anxiety to God, but instead found herself crying out in despair that she didn’t know how.

She struggled through episodes of terror, rapid heart rate, difficulty breathing, trembling, dizziness, chills, intrusive thoughts, and even the fear of dying. Blair learned just how quickly she would have to give up the quick fixes. She realized that her anxiety was a complex issue, and there was no bypassing it. No willing herself out of it.

The only way she could overcome it was to go through it, with God.

With the lessons she learned and now on the other side, Blair rejoices in her struggles, for they taught her to tremble in awe of God.

Lynn's Review

Made To Tremble by Blair Linne

Made To Tremble is Blair Linne’s story of living with anxiety and how it changed her and her faith.

In 2015, Blair Linne’s life changed when she was gripped with severe anxiety that sent her to the emergency room.

Blair Linne knew that as a Christian she needed to trust God, but her anxiety came crashing in on her without warning.

In Made To Tremble, Blair Linne shares how she learned to trust in God more and herself less. She shares her weakness while learning to depend on His strength.

She doesn’t share it in a preachy way, though. She shares it in a very honest and real way, all the while sharing scripture and theology that points you to God.

I picked this up because I really enjoyed Blaire Linne’s book Finding My Father. I read it back in 2022, and I still think about that book.

You don’t have to read Finding My Father to enjoy Made To Tremble, but I think you will understand Blair Linne more if you read Finding My Father first.

I think both books are great for those who have come from difficult family backgrounds and deal with anxiety issues because of their past.
