Book Summary:

Memory Lane by Becky Wade is a Christian romance published in 2023.

Remy Reed, who survived some trauma, relocated to a cottage on one of Maine’s most remote islands so that she could live a quiet life. She spends her time working on her wood sculptures and enjoying the beauty of nature. But then she spots something floating in the ocean.

She realized it is not just something, it is, a man struggling to keep his head above water. She saves him and brings him into her home.

He’s injured and handsome. He has expensive tastes and is bossy. He also has no recollection of his life before Remy rescued him.

Who is he? How did he end up in the Atlantic Ocean?

The only way to discover who he is is to walk him down memory lane.

Lynn's Review

Memory Lane by Becky Wade

Memory Lane by Becky Wade is a clean romance book with a bit of a mystery mixed in. It is set in Maine, where Rhemy Reed lives on a remote island. One day, she sees a man struggling to keep his head above water, so she takes her small boat out to rescue him.

He has amnesia and can’t remember who he is or why he was in the water. Rhemmy lets him stay with her while he recovers.

As they try to figure out who he is, they both have to face the scars in their past.

Memory Lane was recommended by a friend who knows I like my romances clean and with depth to the characters. That is precisely what this one had. It was a clean romance, but much of it also read like real life.

Yes, there were some cheesy parts, but overall, the characters had some complex real-life issues to deal with.

I enjoyed it so much that I plan to read books two and three in the series.

I will say that there are some trigger warnings with this one. There is an attack on a woman in the book, and the trauma from the attack comes up quite a bit in the book. I think it was well done, but it might be triggering for some people.
