Midnight On the Scottish Shore

Midnight on the Scottish Shore by Sarah Sundin is a Christian historical fiction book.

Sarah Sundin is one of my go-to Christian Historical Fiction authors. I really enjoy her writing.

Midnight on the Scottish Shore is set in Scotland during World War II. To survive, Cilla must train to become a Nazi spy. Once she is dispatched to England, she plans to abandon her mission and disappear. Her plan is changed when Lt. Lachlan Mackenzie finds her on the Scottish shore.

Lachlan takes her to the authorities, and British intelligence employs her to send misleading messages to the Germans. Can she convince Lachlan and others that she is on their side and not Germany’s side?

This book is not only a WWII story, it is a story of forgiveness.

I really enjoyed this book. I have read a lot of WWII historical fiction, but I don’t think I have read anything set in Scotland.

This is a Christian Historical Fiction book, and it is a clean historical fiction book with a message of forgiveness, but it is not preachy. Anyone can enjoy this historical fiction book.
