Old Wives' Tales book review

Old Wives Tales by Clare Heath Whyte is a Christian book that was published in 2013.

Old Wives Tales highlights the lives of seven women who were well-known or had well-known Christian husbands. Women like Sally and Molly Wesley, Sarah Edwards, Selina, Countess of Huntington, and others.

I like biographies and thought this book sounded like an interesting but quick read. It was exactly that.

I will say that I have read books based on all these women, so I knew a lot of the history that this book contains, but it was good to be reminded of these women and how they helped or, in some cases, hurt Christian history.

This book would be good for someone who wants to learn more about Christian women in history but doesn’t want to read a whole book on each woman. However, if you are looking for full biographies on Christian women, be sure to read my list of the best Christian Biographies. Quite a few on that list are about Christian women.
