Once Upon a Christmas Carol by Melody Carlson is a Christian Christmas fiction book published in 2025.

Carol, an interior designer, hates Christmas. She doesn’t have great memories of Christmas growing up with divorced parents, and her work as an interior designer means she is surrounded by Christmas several months of the year. So Carol decides to head to the Bahamas for a Christmas vacation. 

However, a winter storm changes her plans, and she ends up stuck in Michigan, but God has a plan for Carol that will help her learn to love Christmas. 

This book is more of a novella than a novel. It is under two hundred pages, and I read it in an afternoon. 

Overall, I liked the book. It was a fun, clean Christmas romance book. I will say it was super predictable and a bit cheesy, but most Christmas fiction is, too.
