Sisters In Resistance book review

Sisters of Resistance by Tilar J. Mazzeo was published in 2022. It is WWII nonfiction.

This book was recommended to me by a reader and I am so glad that she did!

Sisters of Resistance is totally different than any other WWII book that I have read. It is true crime mixed with WWII history.

This is the story of Mussolini’s Daughter and the people that tried to help her keep her husband’s secret diaries safe.

I knew very little about Mussolini’s daughter and son inlaw, so this book was fascinating to me. It gives you a look behind the scenes at how Mussolini and Hitler controlled things and the power they had over each other.

This book involves spies, prison breaks, nighttime escapes across the border, and so much more.

I will say that it took me about 100 pages to get into this one. I actually read about 50 pages and set it aside for a while. I picked it up and read about another 100 pages and could not put it down.
