Book Summary:

Strong To the End by David and Alicia Lloyd was published in 2026.

When David and Alicia Lloyd went to Haiti and opened a children’s home, they had no idea how they would be humbled by the way God was blessing the ministry. They also had no idea how much that ministry would cost them. It would cost them their son, his young wife, and their friend.

Strong To the End

Strong to the End by David and Alicia Lloyd is a Christian memoir.

Do you remember the news headlines in the spring of 2024 about two missionaries who lost their lives along with one other in Haiti? This is their story.

David and Alicia Lloyd’s son was Davy, who, along with his wife Natalie,  lost their lives while serving as missionaries in Haiti.

David and Alicia share their love for Haiti and their years of working as missionaries there. They also share their son Davy’s love of Haiti and how he always longed to spend his life there sharing the gospel with Haitians.

David and Alicia also share how they saw Haiti change in the years that they served there. It changed so much that their son, daughter-in-law, and a Haitian who worked for them were killed by gang members.

This story is a powerful one of modern-day martyrs. I have read a lot of Christian memoirs and biographies, but very few of them were about modern day people who lost their lives for Christ.

If you enjoy Christian biographies and memoirs, this one is worth reading. I will say that it is graphic in parts and is not easy to read; however, I think it is an important book because it reminds us that people all over the world are risking their lives to share Christ.
