Rosa Capoletti’s pizza joint used to be run-down and has since been turned into an award-winning restaurant. It is known as the”best place to propose”. Rosa, however, has had no romance since her teenage love with Alexander Montgomery. The relationship ended without explanation years ago.
But Alexandar just came back to town?
At the beach house where they first fell in love, Rosa and Alexander discover that their secrets are not what they seem. Can Rosa give love a second chance?
Lynn's Review
Summer By the Sea by Susan Wiggs is what I would consider a classic beach read, which is not my typical type of reading. However, I did enjoy this one. It had good character development and storyline.
Two teenagers, one who grew up in a small beach town and one who summered there with his wealthy family, find love decades later. If you love Hallmark-style movies or books like them, this is one that you will probably enjoy.
I will say that it was what I consider very PG-13. I could have done without some of the descriptive scenes.
