Bryony Page is an aspiring author who attends her first writers’ conference. She is ready to sell her manuscript, which will raise awareness for her grandmother’s financially struggling organization, where she teaches.
She meets Jack Sterling, a literary agent who changes her life when he convinces her to ghostwrite for his talentless bestselling client if Jack will represent her real novel.
Bryony realizes, though, that she is not just writing romance novels, she is actually living one.

The Perfect Rom Com by Melissa Ferguson is a clean rom-com book.
Bryony is an aspiring author who is ready to sell her manuscript. She meets Jack Sterling, a literary agent. Instead of selling her manuscript, Jack convinces her to become a ghost writer for one of his best selling clients.
I have read and loved several rom coms by Melissa Ferguson. I liked The Perfect Rom-Com but I didn’t love it.
This one seemed cheesier and more unrealistic than Melissa Ferguson’s other books I have read.
I also struggled to like the main characters in this book.
If you like Melissa Ferguson, you will probably enjoy it, but you might be like me and it won’t be your favorite Melissa Ferguson book.
