Courtney Walsh Books

If you like clean romance books and clean rom-coms, I think you will love this list of Courtney Walsh books.

Courtney Walsh Books

Courtney Walsh is a best-selling author of over thirty books, both conventionally published and self-published.

She writes low spice romance, clean romance, contemporary romance, and clean rom-com books.

Most of her books are set in small towns and have a small-town community feel. They tend to be character-driven books, and they have moral lessons without being preachy.

Her books have been published by traditional publishing houses like Thomas Nelson and Tyndale, but quite a few of them have also been independently self published.

I have found that I prefer her books, like Isadora Bently, that were published by a traditional publisher because they tend to have a little more depth and are slightly less Hallmark movie-like.

When I am in the mood for a light and fun read, she is one of the authors I turn to. I have only read five or six of her books, but I plan to read more this summer.

Holiday With Hart Books

My Phony Valentine

My Phony Valentine was published in 2023. It is set in a small town near Chicago, where Poppy, a chef, meets Dallas Burke, a hockey player. I would describe this book as a Hallmark movie in book form. If you like Hallmark movie-style books, I think you will enjoy this series.

My Lucky Charm book review

My Lucky Charm was published in 2024. It is book two in the Holidays with Hart series, a three-book series about the Hart sisters. Book one follows Poppy, and book two follows Poppy’s sister, Eloise. If you like book one, I think you will enjoy book two. It was another Hallmark movie type of book.

Road Trip Romance Books

A Cross Country Christmas book review

A Cross Country Christmas was published in 2021. This is a Christmas romance with some real-life hard stuff mixed in. Lauren, a TV set decorator, and Wil, a coach and her brother’s best friend, are forced to take a cross-country trip home at Christmas time.

A Cross Country Wedding Book

A Cross Country Wedding was published in 2023. It is book two in the Roadtrip Romance series. In book one, Lauren and Will fall in love. In book two, they get married in a cross-country wedding. Lauren’s best friend needs a plus one for the wedding, so she brings along her friend Simon.

A side note on this book cover. I really do not like the trend of faceless people on book covers. Why are they doing this?

A Sweethaven Summer book

A Sweethaven Summer was published in 2012. Following her mother’s death, Campbell Carter goes to Sweethaven hoping to find the answers to her mother’s history.

A Sweethaven Homecoming book

A Sweethaven Homecoming was published in 2012. It is book two in the Sweethaven Circle books. It picks up where book two left off. It is about friendship, forgiveness, and love.

A Sweethaven Christmas book

A Sweethaven Christmas was published in 2012. Things don’t go as planned during Christmas at Sweethaven.

A Sweethaven Romance was published in 2017. This is a novella, but you can no longer get it. From what I can tell it was on Amazon, but is no longer available.

Sweater Weather Books

Can't Help Falling books

Can’t Help Falling was published in 2023. This is one of the books in a five book series, but various authors. Owen comes back to Harvest Hollow, but why is he back?

Another book cover with faceless people.

Merry Ex-Mas book

Merry Ex-Mas was published in 2022. This is a small hometown romance set at Christmas time.

The Happy Life of Isadora Bentley

The Happy Life of Isadora Bentley was published in 2023. This is my favorite Courtney Walsh book. Isadora is a university researcher who keeps to herself. She thinks it is better that way because you can’t get hurt. But then she takes a challenge and learns that happiness is a choice.

The Summer of Yes book

The Summer of Yes was published in 2024. Kesley’s day did not go as planned when she was hit by a car that jumped a curb and ended up in the hospital, sharing a room with a legendary matriarch of New York City.

This is on my to-be-read list for a trip later this month. It sounds slightly different from Courtney Walsh’s other books, so I think it will be fun.

Christmas with a Crank book

Christmas with a Crank was published in 2024. When Liam’s family decides it is time to sell the farm, Olive and Liam, childhood friends, are brought back together to help rekindle the magic of Christmas one last time before the farm is sold. I read this one last year and enjoyed it.

The Cupid Chronicles book

The Cupid Chronicles was published in 2025. Iris is starting over with a new town and a new job. This is a romance with magical realism. I don’t usually enjoy magical realism, so I am not sure if this one is for me. It is also part of an eight-book series, with each book written by a different author

Everything's Coming Up Rosie book review

Everything’s Coming Up Rosie will be published in 2025. Rosie is an actress who loses her job and her apartment on the same day. She eventually gets a job at a regional theater, but the job is nothing like she expected.

This book comes out in June, and I already preordered it. When I saw that Thomas Nelson published it and it was not independently published, I knew I wanted to read it.

Nonfiction

Courtney Walsh has also written three nonfiction books about scrapbooking.

Scrapbooking Your Faith was published in 2007.

The Scrapper was published in 2008.

The Scrapcrafter’s Idea Book was published in 2012.

If you are a fan of Courtney Walsh’s books, I would love to hear about your favorite.
