My mom shared her list of favorite books of 2018 yesterday, and I wanted to share mine as well.
The last few years I have read over 100 books. This year I was not able to read as many books as I have the past few years. I only managed to read eighty-one books.
This was a little disappointing to me as I love to read, but this lower amount of finished books was probably because of school, work, and me trying to write more in my spare time rather than just reading.
I did have some favorites of the year, and I wanted to share ten of them. I hope it encourages you to read something new this year.
Only one fiction book made my list this year, which is fine with me. But this makes my list different than most other lists that I see this time of year. Most end of the year books lists, include mainly fiction books that people loved. I think that is because most people read mainly fiction, but I tend to read way more nonfiction than fiction.
If you have any good fiction recommendation, I will take them because if I am going to read fiction I want to love it and I have trouble finding ones that I love.
I did really like Farenheit 451 though, which was a surprise to me, but made me understand why it is such a classic. If you are looking to branch out and read some more nonfiction though, these are my favorites of 2018.
