The Wager by David Grann is a nonfiction history book published in 2023. The Wager is about a shipwreck, mutiny, and murder in the early 1740s. In 1740 a British ship left England on a secret mission during war with Spain. After a shipwreck, they landed on a desolate island off the coast of Patagonia. Stranded and alone this group of weary soldiers begin to turn on each.
Next Year In Havana is an example of historical fiction that I love. I think this was so well done. It is historical fiction at its best.
Rotten To The Core by T E Kinsey was published in 2022. It is a mystery book set in England. This is the eighth book in the Lady Hardcastle mystery series I love this series. I started reading them years ago and I love to read them when I need an easy fun read.

The God of the Garden by Andrew Peterson was published in 2021. It is Christian nonfiction. I don’t usually love flowery, poetic, writing, but I love Andrew Peterson’s writing.
The Wedding Dress by Rachel Hauck was published in 2012. It is Christian fiction. The book is about Charlotte, a bridal boutique owner, who buys a vintage trunk at an auction.
Vera Wong’s Unsolicited Advice for Murderers by Jesse Q. Sutanto was published in 2023. This was an impulse buy for me. Buying a book on Kindle is just so too easy sometimes
