Rocky Road by Becky Wade is a clean romance novel with a touch of mystery, published in 2024.

Rocky Road is book two in the Sons of Scandal series. I enjoyed book one, so I decided to give book two a try. 

Book one, Memory Lane, follows Jeremiah, the first of the Camden brothers. Rocky Road follows Jude Camden, an FBI agent who meets Gemma Clare on an assignment. 

Jude follows all the rules. Gemma is a perfumer who is creative and bold. 

Jude’s assignment brings them together as a fake relationship, but it quickly becomes clear that there is more to the relationship than just catching the criminal. 

I enjoyed Rocky Road, but I liked book one much better. 

Rocky Road had some mystery to it, so it wasn’t a straight romance book, but it was more light and fun than book one. 

Book one has some trauma and real-life issues in it, but book two didn’t have as much of that. 

I do like Becky Wade’s writing style, though, so I will probably read book three in the series. 

If you like clean romance books that have a little mystery to them, I think you will enjoy this series.
