Book Review of
Steve Jobs
Lynn's Review

Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson is the biography of Steve Jobs, published in 2011.
This book was a reread for me. I read it over ten years ago, not long after it was published. After reading Elon Musk by Walter Isaacson, I realized that I did not remember much about the Steve Jobs book. Since my goal is to learn more by reading books this year, I decided it was time for a reread of this one.
I have heard that Steve Jobs, by Walter Isaacson, described as multiple books in one. I would agree with that.
It is a biography of one of the giants in the tech world. It is a business book because it is the story of how Steve Jobs built Apple and Pixar. It is also a book about the history and culture of the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s.
There is so much in this one book.
It is about a complicated genius who mixed art and technology. Steve Jobs was brilliant, but he often didn’t know how to interact well with others.
This book has stories of good and bad leadership.
Walter Isaacson shares the highs and lows of Steve Jobs and the companies he built in a readable and fascinating way.
This is a large book. It took me a while to get through, but it was so worth it. A 500+ page book like this can be intimidating, but I am so glad I read it. I think I appreciated it even more the second time I read it.
