If you love Christian fiction and books set during Christmas, this list of Christmas Christian Fiction is for you!

Every year around this time I read three or four fiction books set during Christmas. My favorite ones are usually Christmas Christian fiction because they focus on a moral lesson and the real reason for Christmas.
A few weeks ago, I shared my favorite Christian historical fiction books, so today I thought it would be fun to share my favorite Christian fiction set at Christmas time.
If you love Christmas books and love Christian fiction, I think you will enjoy this list.
Some of these books contain more Christian content than others, but they are all by Christian authors or published by Christian publishers.
If you have a favorite Christmas Christian fiction book that is not on the list I would love to hear about it in the comments.

An interior designer, who has spent months decorating homes for Christmas and dislikes the holiday, ends up stranded in Michigan during a snowstorm. While stuck in Michigan, she connects with an aunt she hasn’t seen in years and learns that she might actually like Christmas after all.

Once Upon A Wardrobe by Patti Callahan is a historical fiction book set in 1950s England. This book is set in winter and Christmas time, so although it is not a Christmas books, it has a very Christmas feel to it.

A Royal Christmas by Melody Carlson is another great Melody Carlson Christmas read. Melody Carlson is well-known for her Christmas books, which read like a Hallmark Christmas movie.
In this book, Adelaide Smith, a law school student in her final year, discovers that the father she never knew is actually a king.

Christmas at Harrington’s by Melody Carlson is one of the first Christmas books by Melody Carlson that I read. I really enjoyed it, and it started my love of reading a Melody Carlson book this time of year.

Yes, I have yet another Melody Carlson book on the list. The Christmas Swap by Melody Carlson was published in 2020. In this one, two families swap houses for Christmas. One family wants to leave the snow for something warmer, and the other family longs for a Christmas spent in the mountains with snow.

The Christmas Tree Farm was Melody Carlson’s 2024 Christmas book.
After the death of her grandparents, Madison returns to Oregon to help run her family’s Christmas tree farm. Madison and her sister, Addie, disagree on whether or not they should keep the family Christmas tree farm. I loved the Oregon Christmas tree farm setting of this book.

The Mistletoe Inn by Richard Paul Evans is another Christmas book by Richard Paul Evans that I loved. Kimberly, a finance officer, attends a writing retreat in Vermont where she meets a romance writer.

The Noel Diary by Richard Paul Evans is a backlist Christmas book that was released in 2017. One of the reasons I love Richard Paul Evans is that his books have more depth than many Christmas books. In this one, a romance writer must return home when his estranged wife passes away.

I have one more Richard Paul Evans Christmas book for you. The Noel Stranger by Richard Paul Evans is definitely a Christmas movie in book form. This wasn’t my favorite Richard Paul Evans, but I still really enjoyed it.

Christmas with a Crank by Courtney Walsh is a Christmas romance by a Christian author who writes clean romance. A Christian publisher does not publish this, but most of Courtney Walsh’s books are considered Christian romance, so I added this one to the list.
Liam’s had a crush on Olive, his neighbor and childhood friend. He moved to his family’s Christmas tree farm, and they slowly lost touch. But when Liam’s family decides it is time to sell the farm, Olive and Liam are brought back together to help rekindle the magic of Christmas one last time before the farm is sold.

Christmas at the Castle Library by Ann Swindell is a Christmas-themed book with a hint of mystery. Royal romance is a popular theme in Christmas books and movies. This one has a fun twist to it, though, with a WWI mystery to solve.

Catching Christmas by Terri Blackstock is a way backlist book that was published in 2016. This is one of the best Christmas books I have read in a while because it has depth and moral lessons that you often don’t find in modern Christmas books.

You Make it Free Like Christmas by Toni Shiloh was a little too Christmasy for me, but that is precisely why so many others will love it.
After losing her New York City job, Starr Lewis returns home to attend her sister’s wedding. This book addresses real-life issues related to friends, family, and forgiveness.
