I have a great list of reads for June. It was a good reading month for me, especially since one of the books that I read was over 900 pages.
I read six books in June but only read two nonfiction books, although one of them will probably make my list of top books of the year.
I have definitely been a mood reader lately and reading fiction is what I have been more likely to pick up.
June Reads
Coming Home by Rosamund Pilcher. This book, written in 1988, is one that needs more attention. If you want something different than all the new shiny books this might be just the right fit for you. My full review of Coming Home.
The Last Chance Library by Freya Sampson. If you like Hallmark movie-type books this might be one that you enjoy. My full review of The Last Chance Library.
The Islanders by Mary Alice Monroe. I don’t read a lot of YA or middle school, but this was a fun read. My full review of The Islanders here.
The London House by Katherine Reay. I liked this one but didn’t love it. If you like Katherine Reay, be sure to read my full review on this one.
Red Notice by Bill Browder. Crime, finance, Russia, and more. This book was so good and so discouraging. It also reminded me that I am thankful that I live in America, not Russia. My full review of Red Notice.
The Ride of Her Life by Anne Wilkins. In 1954, Anne Wilkins, was given only a few years to live. She left her Maine farm with her horse and dog and set off to ride across America. My full review of The Ride of Her Life.
Lots of great reads, Lynn! I listened to Under Gemini by Rosamunde Pilcher this month, and I really enjoyed it. It was a clean romance with a cozy scope, but it was a cut above in terms of writing.
I can’t wait to read more books by Rosamunde Pilcher. Her writing is so good! I am glad to hear that you enjoyed Under Gemini.
