Katherine Center is a beloved author for many, so I am sharing a list of Katherine Center books.
If you are a Katherine Center fan, this list is for you!

Katherine Center is a must read author, especially for summer, for many readers.
I have heard her books described as comfort reads, and I think that is a good description of them.
Most of her books are considered women’s fiction, but I think many of them would also fit in the romance category.
Several of her books, like The Bodyguard and The Rom-Commers, would also be considered rom-com books.
What I love about Katherine Center’s books is that they have romance, but they are not light and fluffy reads. Her characters have a depth to them. They have real-life problems, many of which you can relate to.
I think that is why many people call them comfort reads. They are more realistic than many modern-day romance books.
I have not read all her books yet, but the ones I have read have been fairly clean or closed-door, which is one reason I have enjoyed them.
I am slowly working my way through her backlist. A couple of them are on my summer vacation reading list.
In the comments, I would love to hear about your favorite Katherine Center book.

Everyone Is Beautiful was published in 2009. This is about marriage, love, and so much more. It is about the happy ever after, after you say I do.

Get Lucky was published in 2010. Katherine Center’s more recent books are rom-coms, but Get Lucky is more literary fiction or women’s fiction.
In Get Lucky, Sarah returns home to Houston for Thanksgiving. Sarah thinks she has all kinds of trouble in her life, but her sister might be dealing with even more.

The Lost Husband was published in 2013 and made into a movie in 2020. This book is another one that is more women’s fiction or literary fiction than a rom-com.

How to Walk Away was published in 2018. I read it after reading Katherine Center’s The Bodyguard. Although this book is totally different from The Bodyguard, I still really enjoyed it.
Margaret is living her dream life when an accident changes it forever. This is a romance, but it is so much more.

Things You Save in a Fire was published in 2019. Cassie, a firefighter in Texas, moves to Boston to help her sick mother, with whom she has been estranged. But life in a Boston firehouse is totally different from life in a Texas firehouse.

What You Wish For was published in 2020. Samantha is the school librarian, and Duncan is the school principal. Samantha knew Duncan from a previous job, but he seems like a totally different person at this job.

The Bodyguard was published in 2022. Although it is considered women’s fiction, it reads like a romantic comedy. It would be a great romantic comedy movie. Maybe they will turn it into one.
Superstar, Jake Stapleton, and Hannah Brooks, a bodyguard, pretend to be dating to protect Jake while he is visiting his sick mother.
This book is predictable and fun, but there is a depth to the characters that makes it a little deeper than most rom-com books.

Hello Stranger was published in 2023. Following surgery, Sadie, a portrait artist, develops a rare face blindness condition. Just week’s away from a huge contest, Sadie is trying hard to recover so that she can work.
However, her dog’s veterinarian and a neighbor are both trying hard to get her attention.
This is a love story with quirky, fun characters and a rare but real medical condition. I am currently reading and enjoying it.

The Rom-Commers was published in 2024. I have read mixed reviews on this one, but I really enjoyed it.
Charlie, a famous screenwriter, needs help writing a rom-com movie. Emma longs to be a screenwriter, but she is the sole caretaker of her father, who needs full-time care. Emma moves to L.A. for six weeks to help Charlie, but will Charlie let Emma help?

The Love Haters will be published on May 20, 2025. I preordered it months ago because I knew I wanted to read it this summer. It is currently on my Kindle waiting to be read.
Katie Vaughn pretends she can swim to get a job profiling a Coast Guard rescue swimmer in Key West. This sounds like a great book for summer reading, but I have heard mixed reviews from people who have read it.
